It form an important part in the time of 13th century in the country of Spain and Italy in their literary written tradition.

Ballad can be like a poem but it says more stories than a poem as it can give a complete picture of what is happening in the story. In the 15th century it takes a little twist as it was used to give advice having the purpose to share wisdom on the one who reads.
