Being country forever: the country music awards

As an artist’s receiving award is the most fulfilling and it seems a proof of hard work and good performance. Even athletes have one goal that is why they endure very hard training. They have to learn discipline and self-control undergoing various trainings for their skill and talent to be perfected. In terms of the music industry, artists have the goal of getting an award. In the genre of country music they have their own country music awards. It is known officially as The Country Music Association Awards. These awards are presented only to country music broadcasters and artists recognizing their great contribution and achievement in the music industry particularly country music. It was first held in 1967 in Nashville Municipal Auditorium in a ceremony not covered by television media. The following year it was again held but at this time it was taped and later televised in BOT-TO technology. From then on the annual awards ceremony began to be broadcasted via television.

There are categories of the annual awards given divided into twelve. It includes Male Vocalist, Female Vocalist, Entertainer, Vocal Group, Vocal Duo, New Artist, Single, Song, Musical Event, Musician and Album. These categories are not present the first time the awards was held but was introduced at certain times. Country music has their own world of music industry that have overcome competition and change in the industry as business industry need fame to survive.
